I WANT TO DIE EMPTY

Category: "Personal Development"

==================================

I want to die empty. I mean, I want to die completely empty.

Why that look? I hear someone asking, "what is wrong with him, is he going gaga, why is he talking of death now?."

The truth is that death is a soup everyone must taste someday. We are all on courier services. We came to deliver one package or the other to humanity.

In as much as we pray for long life we shouldn't forget the fact that we must stand before God someday to give account on how we spent our lives.

The issue is, do you want to die empty or loaded?

As for me, I want to die empty.

Erma Louise Bombeck was an American humorist who achieved great popularity for her newspaper column. She published 15books, most of which became bestsellers.

Erma wrote over 4000 newspaper columns, using eloquent humour. By 1970s, her columns were read twice weekly by 30 million readers in U.S and Canada.

She was interviewed and was asked her greatest desire. She responded, "when I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, 'I used everything you gave me."

What are you doing with what God gave you? You are a courier agent sent to deliver that package.

Are you being that good teacher you were sent to be?

Are you being that good singer were sent to be?

Are you being that good coach you were sent to be?

Are you being that good leader you were sent to be?

Are you being that good example and motivator you were sent to be?

Are you delivering that message and package you were sent to deliver?

Or, do you want to stand before God with the package He sent you to deliver?

No wonder Les Brown said, "the graveyard is the richest place on earth, because it is there that you will find all the hopes and dreams that were never fulfilled, the books that were never written, the songs that were never sung, the inventions that were never shared, the cures that were never discovered, all because someone was too afraid to take that first step, keep with the problems, or determined to carry out their dreams.

I want to die empty so that when I stand before God at the end of my life I would tell Him I used all the talents you gave me to solve the problems you sent me to solve.

I want to die empty so that when I stand before God at the end of my life, I would say, I used every bit of the talents you gave me to write the books you sent me to write.

I want to die empty so that when I stand before God at the end of my life, I would point down to the earth and say I used the talents you gave me to teach that great teacher, that super engineer, that wonderful doctor, that lovely pastor, that excellent writer, that dedicated business tycoon.

I want to die completely empty, without a single bit of talent left in me.

I am a courier agent I must deliver the message and package I was sent to deliver.

What about you? Do you want to join the camp of those enriching the graveyard?
God forbid!

There is great punishment awaiting those that will die loaded. Start to offload those talents in you.

Start today, start now!

BECOMING A DIAMOND

Category: "Personal Development"

========================================
The story is told of two young men that grew up in the same environment, went to school the same period and graduated the same year from high school.

One of these boys was said to have read over six hundred books covering areas such as human development, psychology of success, etc. While the other was working in restaurants and fast-foods and other related platforms.

Nineteen years after, these two boys met at the home coming meeting of their Alma mater and at this point they were continents apart.

While the one who was very busy working without developing himself was worth $6.75 per hour, the other one who invested his time in developing himself in his area of interest was said to be worth $200,000 an hour. What a world!

No raw material has real value. It has to be processed. It has to be refined before you can get the best of value out of it. A diamond is just a piece of charcoal that went through a process.

Look here;
Are you developing yourself?
Are you going through the process?
Are you participating in your own growth?
How much of your money is re-invested into your growth?

As a professional, it is not enough to say because you have had your first degree then that is the end. You don't have to go back to school for another degree but your self development must continue.

I know of people who have never read a single book after graduating from school, but they never fail to renew their DSTV subscription. That is an anomaly.

You might be a charcoal right now. But if you are able to commit to the right process you will come out a diamond. However, only a few people really dedicate themselves to this process. The majority are onlookers.

The reason Pareto's principle states that 20 percent of the people get 80% of the wealth is not because there is any magic behind it. it is because only a few people actually dedicate themselves to do the work necessary to achieve success.

Life is founded on principles. Results are a function of effort. If you won't pay the price, then don't expect the prize. If you don't know what to do with your brain, then it means you don't deserve it in the first place.

What changes are you willing to make to put your life on the right track to success?

Time to think.
